多年前讀過Seamus Heaney 的詩"Digging"《挖掘》，他的爸爸和祖父用鏟挖掘泥土，以務農為生; 他自己也是以同樣的動作為生，只是用的是筆，而挖掘的是生命的土壤。對我來說，作digger還有另外更大的原動力:「要叫我們尋求神，或者可以揣摩而得。其實他離我們不遠，我們生活、動作、存留、都在乎他。就如你們作詩的，有人說: '我們也是他所生的。'」(聖經使徒行傳17:27-28)
